John Prescott Sonata 3 Sonata 3 was written for trumpeter Jon Lewis and was premiered by Lewis with pianist Peter Collins in 2010. Consisting of three contrasting movements, it is designed to be performed by players of collegiate undergraduate level ability and above. Sonata 3 was written to honor Roger Stoner, trumpet teacher at the University of Kansas from 1973 to 1987.
