Theurer, Britton Magma Written for the Trumpet Students at East Carolina University,
Magma is a very challenging work. All the words you can think of
when it comes to volcanoes and lava apply here: ignite, explode,
steam, scramble, smolder, sizzle, etc. You will need a conductor
for this if you want to maintain friendships. The first part descends
into the bass clef and up to high Eb.
The audio file is a cut-up (mangled?) composite. The full duration is eight minutes.
