Balquhidder Music
Established
in 1991, the Balquhidder Music catalog contains an extensive list
of brass pedagogical and chamber music works by leading international
performers and teachers. That list includes Bai Lin, William Bing,
Irving Bush, Charles Fricke, Jon Gresham, Clifford Lillya, Rob
Roy McGregor, Anthony Plog, Mark Ponzo, Roy Poper, Bobby Shew,
Pierre Thibaud and William Vacchiano.
The mission
of Balquhidder Music is to publish and leave a legacy of the finest
publications for trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba. Among its outstanding
list of contributing editors are James Bovinette (Arban), Allan
Dean, Mark Dulin, Michael Ewald (Bach and Telemann), Mario Guarneri
(Schumann), John Korak (Concone), David Mathie, Gordon Mathie
(Telemann), Raymond Mase (American Brass Quintet Series), Rob
Roy McGregor (Fricke), Neil Mueller, and Ralph Sauer (Bach and
Brahms).

Founder and
President, Rob Roy McGregor, brings thirty-five years of major
orchestral trumpet experience (Baltimore Symphony, eleven years,
Los Angeles Philharmonic, twenty-four years) to the music publishing
company.
The name "Balquhidder",
a word of Gaelic origin, derives from the area in Scotland where
that most famous MacGregor, Rob Roy, lived and is buried.
